같은 술집에 앉아 있어도 처음 말을 거는 건 어려워요. 첫만남은 그 첫마디를 대신 열어 주는 앱이에요. QR코드로 서로를 보여 주고, 질문 카드나 라이어 게임으로 분위기를 풀고, 그 가게에 있는 사람들끼리만 모이는 방에서 이야기해요.

어떤 서비스인가요

첫만남은 매칭 앱이 아니에요. 온라인에서 모르는 사람을 추천해 주는 대신, 이미 같은 공간에 있는 사람들과 자연스럽게 인사하도록 도와요. 처음 열면 8자리 코드가 하나 생기고, 그게 곧 내 계정이에요. 실명도 전화번호도 이메일도 묻지 않아요.

‘같은 자리’를 확인하는 방법은 상황마다 달라요.

내 QR코드: 내 프로필 링크가 담긴 QR을 보여 주면, 상대가 앱이나 휴대폰 카메라로 찍어 바로 내 자기소개를 봐요. 코드를 직접 검색해도 돼요.
게임 방 코드: 아이스브레이킹 게임을 여러 휴대폰으로 할 때는 6자리 방 코드나 QR로 모여요. 위치는 보지 않아요. 코드를 안다는 게 같이 있다는 뜻이니까요.
지도 위의 방: 플레이그라운드 지도에서 가게(장소) 방은 그 가게 근처(약 100m)에 있어야 열고 들어갈 수 있어요. 핀으로 만드는 자리 방은 거리 제한 없이 1km 안에서 찾을 수 있어요.
이벤트: 신청을 받고, 입구에서 주최자가 참가자의 QR을 찍어 입장을 확인해요.

주요 기능

자기소개 카드닉네임, 성별, 나이대(생일이 아니라 연령대), 한마디, 관심사(최대 8개), 링크(최대 5개), 사진(최대 5장)으로 나를 보여 줘요. 내가 보는 내 페이지가 남이 보는 모습 그대로예요. 프로필 숨김도 있어요.
게시판내 코드를 본 사람만 나에게 한 줄을 남길 수 있고, 읽는 건 나뿐이에요.
첫인상 게임퀴즈나 밸런스 게임을 프로필에 걸어 두면, 내 프로필을 연 사람이 풀어 보고 결과와 순위가 쌓여요.
아이스브레이킹 11가지질문 카드, 룰렛, 사다리 타기, 주사위, 뽑기, 밸런스 게임, 오목, 커넥트 4, 캐치마인드, 라이어 게임, 양세찬 게임. 휴대폰 한 대를 돌려 가며 하거나, 각자 휴대폰으로 방에 들어와 함께해요. 질문과 단어 묶음이 기본으로 들어 있어요.
플레이그라운드지도에서 가게, 자리, 이벤트를 찾아 들어가요. 방 안에서는 채팅하고, 투표를 만들고, 게임을 열 수 있어요. 방은 4시간이 지나면 닫혀요.
이벤트시간, 인원 제한, 승인 여부를 골라 이벤트를 열고, 신청 → 승인 → 입장 순서로 관리해요. 지도에 올리지 않으면 링크나 코드를 받은 사람만 찾을 수 있어요.

이렇게 써요

게임 방 열기

아이스브레이킹에서 게임을 고르고 ＋ 새 게임 → “여러 휴대폰으로”를 눌러요.
대기실에 뜨는 방 코드와 QR을 친구들에게 보여 주거나, 방링크를 복사해 보내요.
모두 들어오면 설정을 마치고 “시작하기”. 한 판이 끝나면 다음 판으로 이어 가요.

게임 방 들어가기

QR을 찍거나, 링크를 열거나, 방 참여 화면에 방 코드를 넣고 “들어가기”를 눌러요.
처음이라면 내 코드를 받고 닉네임만 정하면 바로 들어가요. 판이 진행 중이면 끝나는 대로 자동으로 들어가요.

자주 묻는 질문

다들 앱을 깔아야 하나요?: 아니요. 모든 링크가 웹으로 열려서 휴대폰 브라우저만 있으면 돼요. 다만 인스타그램·카카오톡 같은 앱 안의 브라우저에서는 제대로 동작하지 않아서, Safari나 Chrome으로 열어 달라고 안내해요.
위치가 저장되나요?: 위치는 앱을 쓰는 동안 가게 방에 들어갈 수 있는지 확인할 때만 쓰고, 백그라운드에서는 쓰지 않아요. 서버에는 방과 이벤트의 위치가 남고, 참여한 사람의 좌표는 남기지 않아요.
방이 끝나면 대화는 어떻게 되나요?: 방은 4시간 뒤(아무도 안 들어오면 30분 뒤) 닫히고, 닫힌 방은 대화와 함께 7일 뒤 지워져요. 지난 이벤트는 30일 뒤, 3개월 동안 열지 않은 계정은 삭제돼요.
불편한 사람이 있으면요?: 상대 프로필에서 신고(사유 작성)하거나 차단할 수 있어요. 차단은 바로, 양쪽 모두에 적용돼요. 신고는 24시간 안에 검토해요.
휴대폰을 바꾸면 계정은요?: 전화번호나 이메일이 없는 계정이라, 앱을 지우거나 기기를 바꾸면 되찾을 수 없어요. 대신 언제든 새로 시작할 수 있어요. 계정을 지우려면 로고 메뉴 → 계정 삭제를 눌러요.
몇 명까지 함께할 수 있나요?: 게임 방에는 최대 200명이 들어올 수 있고, 게임마다 한 판에 참여하는 인원은 정해져 있어요(예: 캐치마인드 12명, 오목 2명). 가게 방은 100명, 자리 방은 2~30명 사이로 정할 수 있어요.
돈이 드나요?: 아니요, 무료예요.

개인정보와 데이터

첫만남은 전화번호, 이메일, 생년월일을 묻지 않아요. 프로필은 내 코드를 받았거나, 같은 방이나 게임에 있었던 사람처럼 나와 연결된 사람만 볼 수 있어요. 자세한 내용은 첫만남 개인정보처리방침에 있어요.

What it is

Hey isn’t a matching app. Instead of recommending strangers online, it helps you say hello to people who are already in the room. The first time you open it you get an 8-character code, and that code is your account. No real name, phone number or email.

How it knows you’re in the same place depends on the situation:

Your QR code: show the QR for your profile and others scan it with the app or their phone camera to see your intro. They can also search your code.
Game room codes: when an icebreaker is played on several phones, people join with a 6-character room code or QR. Location isn’t checked; knowing the code means you’re together.
Rooms on the map: on the Playground map, a venue room can only be opened and entered near that venue (about 100 m). A pinned spot room has no distance gate and can be found within 1 km.
Events: guests sign up, and the host scans each guest’s QR at the door.

How to use it

Hosting a game room

In Icebreaking, pick a game, tap ＋ New game, and choose to play on several phones.
Show the room code and QR from the lobby, or copy the room link.
When everyone’s in, set up the round and tap Start. Carry on to the next round when it ends.

Joining one

Scan the QR, open the link, or type the room code on the join screen and tap Enter.
First time? You get your code, pick a nickname and you’re in. If a round is running, you join automatically when it ends.

FAQ

Does everyone need the app?: No. Every link opens on the web, so a phone browser is enough. Browsers inside apps like Instagram or KakaoTalk don’t work properly, so Hey asks you to open it in Safari or Chrome.
Is my location stored?: Location is used only while you’re using the app, to check whether you can enter a venue room, never in the background. The server keeps the location of rooms and events, not of the people in them.
What happens to a room’s chat afterwards?: A room closes after 4 hours (30 minutes if nobody comes), and a closed room and its chat are deleted 7 days later. Past events are deleted after 30 days, and accounts not opened for 3 months are deleted.
What if someone makes me uncomfortable?: Report them (with a reason) or block them from their profile. Blocks apply immediately, both ways. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
What if I change phones?: With no phone number or email there’s nothing to recover the account with, so deleting the app or switching phones means starting fresh. To delete your account yourself, use the logo menu → delete account.
How many people can play?: Up to 200 can join a game room, and each game has its own cap per round (for example 12 for Catch Mind, 2 for gomoku). Venue rooms hold 100, and spot rooms can be capped anywhere from 2 to 30.

Privacy and data

Hey never asks for your phone number, email or birth date. Profiles can only be read by people connected to you, such as someone you showed your code to or someone who shared a room or game with you. See Hey’s privacy policy (Korean) for details.
